Synoptic review

Here is a synoptic review of our production.
We had decided as a group to distribute our production on youtube as it is a free video sharing website and everyone with access to the internet is able to view it. We also chose this as many young adults scope youtube looking for videos, this is our target audience. The internet is very democratic as there are many websites that you can share videos without hassle. however there are certain websites that you have to pay to exhibit videos these website normally restrict what you can upload as well.

Process of Poster

This is the final design.

As we are showing our production on youtube i decided to add the web address at the bottom corner of the page. at this time we had not uploaded the film so the web address is just an example


I then added the names of the main actors we had used in the film. I used the same font to keep the style of the poster the same.

We then added a picture. we chose to use a card hand as it shows the concept of the film clearly. It also shows the style of the film as well.

this is the title we had chosen. we made this as the woman is inspired by Tarantino because he uses women alot in his movies.

Editing Software

As the main editor i have decided to not use the conventional video editing software such as iMovie, Final Cut Xpress and Movie editor as i am more experienced with a more professional software called Magix Movie edit pro 12. the reasons for this are:

• More experience
• Advanced titles, fades and effects
• Advanced sound editing software as we will be using this a lot
• I have made many videos using this software and they have all been amazing
  

Storyboards

here is the storyboards that i have created myself.

Aspect Ratio + Exhibition/Exchange.

Aspect ratios on tv screens and monitors are a vital consideration when deciding about exhibition.
We have thought about this and have decided that

• we will not be exhibiting our production on any television channels
• we will use online video hosting such as youtube, google video
• we shall also exhibit it on facebook and myspace

Reasons for these decisions

• Exchange is a popular form of consumption with our target audience.
• The Young Adult group (mid-teens to mid-twenties) are the group most comfortable with downloading technologies, most sociable yet less likely to visit the cinema than older target groups

Implications on Aspect Ratio

Action - find one or two specific sharing/upload sites and find out resolution / aspect ratio / length etc as well as copyright issues.

Group meeting

Recently myself and Ryan had a group meeting about work that needs to be completed, unfortunately Joe could not make it to the meeting. in this meeting we managed to get a few things done such as storyboards, screenplay and shotlists. Ryan managed to complete the screenplay and i completed the storyboards and we worked on the shotlist together. here are the links to the screenplay and shotlist. the storyboards will be uploaded as soon as possible.
